Just days to go before Early Bird Registration closes.  There are still plenty of events to choose from (despite some potential registrants suggesting that “everything is full”) – far from it as many additional Workshops and outings have been added to the program and there are opportunities to meet with Tony Hewitt and Peter Eastway outside of their Workshops.  Do not leave your registration to the last minute as Field Trips and Workshops may soon fill up during February.  Take a look at the Convention Website

Outward Bound is getting pretty excited about the workshop (WS15) at Anakiwa – they really want photographers to get into the action packed morning schedule with Simon Woolf’s help (with camera(s) in hand).

There has been lots of interest in Bruce Girdwood’s workshop on Neutral Density filters, so Bruce is now undertaking a new Workshop (WS19) on Saturday April 26th at Rarangi Beach and environs – participants will be out and about with camera.  Whilst Bruce’s talk is entitled Visual Design and Composition, it will entail use of neutral density filters, movement and many other challenges which a site like Rarangi provides – there can be massive waves, and many coloured stones with creatures and flowers nestling amongst them.  The Field Trip is based at Rarangi Community Hall where Bruce will lecture and critique photographs - refreshments at hand!

Canon Full Frame in action lit by CR Kennedy Workshop (WS10) on Friday April 25th is now at the Vintage Car Club in Brayshaw Park.  Models and old cars and Canon cameras to try out are provided and there are facilities for photograph critiquing.  Simon Woolf is expected to be there as well and to help get the most out of this venue.  Additional to this Workshop is a train ride to get participants to Brayshaw.  The small train leaves from near the Convention Centre and meanders through Blenheim to Brayshaw providing another photographic challenge en route.

Don’t forget the Workshops on onOne Perfect Suite (WS14 and WS18) which are being conducted by Tony Bridge.

The Convention has received much support from the wine industry so the wine will be flowing.  Come and enjoy!

Please Note, there is a change to the number of images that you may now enter per month as follows:

Maximum number of entries is 3 images per month

 2 digitals/1 print or 1 digital/2 prints or 3 prints
Note – you cannot enter 3 digitals but you can enter 3 prints
