CONVENTION ROUNDUP -2011 SAW THE North Shore photographic Society run a very successful Photographic Convention. Led by Terry Cockfield and his team of hard working helpers everything happened pretty much when it should have and with no major glitches! How do you define success after an event like this? Well one thing we had very few if any complaints. No one wanted their money back! Secondly everyone was laughing and applauding the speakers and thirdly we ended up in the black! Numerous people emailed to say thank you ‘best convention ever’ type comments. (Every convention gets these but it is a great feeling!) And we pleased most of the people most of the time! 358 of them in fact! The weather was kind to us; the worst morning was when TV1 broadcast their weather reports from the beautiful Waiake Beach surrounded by 100 photographers and a few seagulls! The sun failed to shine but the rain stayed away! Never the less Tamati Coffee interviewed our photography stars and hundreds of viewers learnt more about photography.
